Drake White is a special breed of renaissance man. The same boy who grew up singing on church stages in Northeastern Alabama now makes country tunes inspired by a lifelong love of Bob Marley. The singer understands that, often, less is more; he’s at his best as he uses simple songwriting to create imagery that takes listeners back to special memories of their own.
It works. The soul-country machine has toured with the Zac Brown Band, Eric Church and Kip Moore and after the May release of 5-song EP Pieces, White’s only going up. He’ll take the stage with his band The Big Fire on Friday, July 13 at 5:30 p.m! Spark even more excitement with our latest installation of Five ‘Cue Friday.
